Today we were blessed with a super sunny school holiday trip to the Auckland Zoo where a stop to feed the giraffe and check out the flamingos and Burma the elephant is mandatory.

I was blessed by time in the sunshine while Eva and Hugo enjoyed the new slides at the playground.

We were blessed by the antics of the seals who were very energetic today and kept these two engaged for ages.

Today I was blessed to wake up after yet another long sleep in a hotel room with fabulous block out curtains.

I was blessed by this pink ice-cream van at the airport which kept these two entertained (without coins) after we had to make a fast escape from the hotel room due to cabin fever.

This afternoon I was blessed by a return to Auckland with glorious sunshine and children who asked to go to a fantastic local playground with their scooters.

I was blessed to have a meal in the freezer to defrost while we exercised at the park in the sun for hours.  So refreshing.

365 Blessed – 116 – 26th September

Today I feel blessed to have enjoyed our first day in Christchurch.  It’s my first time here in 10 years and obviously haven’t seen it since the 2011 earthquakes.  It’s hard to explain what it’s like.  There’s so much being built right now but still buildings needed demolishing.  There’s new initiatives to get people into the city but there’s still hardly anyone here.  I am looking forward to exploring more of the city over the weekend.

Today I was blessed to talk all things Bellyful with the Christchurch Branch Coordinator who opened her home to us and found a train track, lego, footballs and pencils to keep the small people entertained.
